The ISO/UNDP guidelines for the SDGs (ISO/UNDP PAS 53002) are a guidance document to help organizations contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They have been developed in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to provide organizations with a unified approach to systematically manage and optimize their impact on sustainable development across various operational aspects. The Certified UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Lead Implementer certification is designed for individuals seeking to validate their advanced knowledge of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in accordance with ISO/UNDP PAS 53002. This exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. The passing score is 70%. Candidates will have 60 minutes to complete the exam. The exam is available in English and Portuguese.

There are no prerequisites to take the exams. However, we recommend that candidates have at least six months of relevant work experience in the area covered by the certification.

What does the exam voucher include?
The exam voucher includes access to a self-paced online study guide, a practice test with questions matching the type and difficulty level of the actual exam, and two retakes in case you do not pass on your first attempt.

What is the exam retake policy?
If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on the first attempt, there is no waiting period between the first and the second attempt. If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on the second attempt, the candidate must wait at least 7 days before retaking the exam for a third time. A candidate may not take a given exam any more than three times per year (12 months).
